Alright, so I'm pretty sure there are more neglected, forgotten blogs than active ones out there on the interwebs, and until now, I was one of those bloggers. My original blog title was "A Eulogy for Common Sense", the premise of which was me bitching about life, and other peoples' stupidity. You can see I've left the first 2 original entries up. But one can only bitch about society so much before wanting to kill ones' self, or simply abandoning the idea out of concern for one's own mental well-being. I guarantee I'll be doing plenty of bitching about this modern life on this blog, but first and foremost, I will be talking about the one thing I know and love best : My life! How narcissistic, eh?
Since I first started this blog 5 years ago (Holy shit!), I've ended my radio career, and gone back to working as a sandwich artist at Subway, which was coincidentally my very first job. ($14,000 tuition to work at the same place I worked before starting broadcasting school. Hooray!). It's ok though. I have since married the man of my dreams, who supports my true passion: crafting! I make things out of polymer clay, hemp, yarn, paper, and all sorts of things, then try to sell said wares at craft shows and online. I gravitate towards video game and science nerd things, so if you find that interesting, check out my Etsy shop at www.etsy.com/shop/magsimagination .
I consider myself a feminist. I am all for women's rights, equality, health care, etc, as well as equal rights for all people. I will try not to be too political, but hey, this is me, my blog, and I'm gonna share what's on my heart and mind, so deal with it. I consider myself a leftist libertarian, but I tend to just vote democrat since it's the lesser of the 2 evils, not that I'm thrilled with the choices offered.
Since getting married, I have discovered what it's like to have to keep a home and provide nourishing meals for 2 people. I have a lot on my plate, with a 30-hour a week "real job" and 10-20 hours a week working on my crafting business. So I was SO excited when I found a Groupon offer for half off a subscription to the Fresh 20 meal plan. I have always enjoyed the IDEA of eating healthy on a budget, but now I am learning to live it! I will talk more about healthy cooking and The Fresh 20 in future posts. For now, it's good to be back, and hopefully this blog will get at least a few views so I can share my perspective with the world and make even one iota of difference. Ciao for now!
